In our home we like to eat healthy and load veggies in wherever we can, but sometimes we will get a hankering for a salad. Most people would either think "boring" or "not filling enough for me", however we love to dress up our salads to where they move from side show to main attraction. With a simple and tasty dressing this salad has all the health benefits plus it won't leave you hungry 30 minutes later. This salad is loaded in heart friendly vitamins and fiber, so you're body will thank you for this refreshing twist on the a would be normal and boring salad. Not to mention that it smells incredible, however a quick breath mint afterwards will keep people from running. 



Shopping List
    Mixed Veggie Salas w/ Browned Garlic by Custom Taste
  • 1 Cup Spinach
  • 1 Cup Lettuce
  • 1/2 Cup Onion
  • 1/4 Cup Carrot
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 TSP Olive Oil
  • Dressing
  • 1 TSP Garlic Butter
  • 2 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 TSP Black Pepper
  • 1/2 TSP Dill
  • 1 TSP Olive Oil

Small Skillet
Mixing Bowl
Small Bowl
Shredding device (if you do not buy pre-shredded)
Whisk
Measuring Cup, TSP and TBSP

Time To Get Cooking!!!
Mixed Veggie Salas w/ Browned Garlic by Custom TasteShred or chop lettuce depending on how large you like your pieces, transfer into mixing bowl
Peel and dice carrots, also transfer to mixing bowl
Slice onion into about 1/4 inch slices and toss in olive oil
Heat up the skillet on medium
Put in the onions and let sweat
Thinly slice the garlic cloves and toss in olive oil

Sautee for about 10 minutes or until garlic starts to brown
Set to side and let rest
Mix the dressing together in the mixing bowl and whisk until combined
Add all veggies and garlic into bowl and toss until coated

Serving
Eat alone as a meal, as a quick pick me up or a side salad

Storing
Store in plastic container or bag in the fridge for up to 2 days

Tricks
-We used frozen fresh spinach which helped meld all the taste together into the dressing
