Oven Roasted Garlic Butter

Oven-Roasted Garlic Butter by Custom Taste
Not your average butter. Mind you can't use this in baking but it makes your toast, rolls, veggies and meats taste incredibly savory and sweet! We first had something similar at a restaurant and raved about it for a few days, so we finally had enough garlic to just make our own! Soon we realized that not only does it taste great but makes your kitchen and, if you are lucky enough, you entire home smell delicious. The preparation can be a bit messy, but well wroth it! Trust us, people will be asking for more!

Time To Get Cooking!!!
First things first, peel off about two or three layers of the peel
We used are hands and rubbed the garlic, we did this until peel stopped coming off
Make sure not to peel too much to where the garlic bulb starts falling apart
Now cut off the top part of the garlic

Set in the mixing bowl with the root at the bottom
Pour 2 tsp olive oil on top
Let sit for 3 minutes
After 3 minutes flip the garlic bulb over and pour on the remaining the olive oil and let sit for another 3 minutes
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Take your baking dish and aluminum foil and tear a sheet that is a little over a foot long
Cover the bottom of the baking dish with the foil, allowing the rest to hang over the side
When your garlic bulb is done soaking, transfer it to the baking dish root side down and then pour any remaining oil from the mixing bowl onto the bulb
Shape the aluminum remaining into a cone shape over the bulb
Put into oven and let bake 30 minutes

When time is up remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes or until cool enough to handle comfortably
You can either gently take apart the bulb and squeeze out the cloves or use a butter knife to scoop out the garlic when needed

Serving
Serve out of the bulb or all cloves mashed together. Serve as a spread or mix into a dressing. We recommend splitting one whole clove between as least 2 people and up to 4.

Storing and Reheating
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. Reheat using any method until warmed throughout
