If we not mentioned yet, we are starting to change up some things here in our kitchen. We are moving toward clean eating! YAY! Look for a more lengthy (there will be pictures!) post about it. Our first mission was to find a pie crust suitable for what we were looking for since we love pie! You might also recognize this guy from our Pi Day post, and as promised here it is! Our easy oatmeal pie crut. It does not a sweet flavour or any flavour really so the versatility is virtually endless! Give it a try with you next pie creation, you won't be sad!
Shopping List
Time 25 Minutes
Prep 5 Minutes
Cook 20 Minutes
Yield 1 Regular sized pie crust
When throughly mixed together mix in the oatmeal
You may have to drain off some excess water
Preheat you oven to 350 degrees
Grab you pie dish and press the mixture evenly through the dish
When the oven is to temperature, place the pie dish into the oven
Cook for 20 minutes or until the edges start to brown. The mixture will steam so don't worry it is not burning
When edges have browned and time is up remove from oven and fill with your filling!
Serving
8 servings once filled with filling
Storing and Reheating
Store in a zip top baggie until ready to fill with filling. Cook according filling instruction
