Cheeze Sauce

Cheeze Sauce by Custom Taste on Homemade Not Pre-Made
A vegan cheeze sauce that is quick and easy to make and will not be painful to your wallet. This will help those lactose allergy sufferers be able to enjoy mac cheese, cheese soup and lasagna all over again!









Shopping List
  • 2 Cups Garbanzo Beans (cooked)
  • 3 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
  • 2 Cups Hot Water
  • 1/2 Cup Almond Milk
  • Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Powder
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar or Lemon Juice


Hardware
Medium size pot
Blender, Handheld Blender, or whatever you choose to use
Measuring Cup, tbsp and tsp
Mixing spoon
2 Regular Bowls

Prep 5 minutes
Cook 15 minutes
Yield 4 cups or 18 servings



Time To Get Cooking!!!
Rinse beans throughly to remove any extra salt from the can
Cheeze Sauce by Custom Taste
If you have uncooked beans cook according to bag instructions and when you drain save 2 cups of the hot water
Put beans in pot and cover with 2 cups water
Bring to boil until throughly heated
While the beans are heating combine all the dry seasoning and ingredients together in one bowl
Combine all the wet ingredient in a separate bowl
Once the beans are ready remove from heat
Cheeze Sauce by Custom TasteIf you are using a blender, let the beans cool before adding them into the blender
Add the liquid ingredients 
Cheeze Sauce by Custom TasteUsing you chosen blending apparatus begin blending the beans until the are mostly smooth
Now add the seasoning mixture
Using a mixing spoon combine manually as much as you can
Blend again for a few minutes and until nice and smooth
You may need to add a bit more water, that is fine, be sure that it is warm when you add it however
Serve or store
Congrats on your milk-free cheeze!!!

1/4 cup just for dipping. Use your own discretion when using it in another recipe

Storing and Reheating
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for at max 3 weeks and in the freezer for 6 months
Reheat on stove or in microwave depending on what you need it for

Tricks
-To make a thicker sauce just reduce down until desired consistency is achieved
-Shred are possible with this recipe. Simply put into a pan that is lined with plastic wrap, cover and put into freezer. When the sauce is firm use a vegetable peeler and peel off slices.

  1. I'm getting ready to do the PeerTrainer cleanse and will be cutting out dairy for two weeks. I'm not a big fan of dairy anyway, but it's nice to have cheesey foods every now and then. I will definitely be trying this!
