 For quick dinner for those busy nights this is a great recipe to turn to. It is super easy to prepare and it does need constant baby sitting. Not to mention that most of these ingredients can be found in most kitchens as wells substituting is super easy. So keep this around for those extra busy days and nights.

Shopping List
  • 1 Cup Uncooked Rice
  • 1 Cup Broth, Stock
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 TBSP Tomato Paste
  • 1 Cup Diced Tomatoes*
  • 1/2 Can of Corn
  • 1/4 Cup Diced Onion
  • Spices
  • 1 TSP Oregano
  • 1/4 TSP Cayenne
  • 1/2 TSP Cumin
  • 1/2 TSP Chili Powder
  • Pinch Black Pepper and Salt
  • 1 TSP Oil

Black beans and brownies are probably not the most common foods you would imagine for breakfast. These have the chewiness and delicious brownie taste without the bad fats and are great for getting going in the morning. Not to mention they are great for a quick pre-workout snack thanks to the carbs and protein.

  • 1 TBSP Honey

Greek Inspired Turkey Meatballs

These are greek inspired because Keftedes (greek meatballs) are primarily made from ground beef or lamb, not turkey. They easy to eat and hold together wonderfully, so it makes them perfect to eat alone or at to other dishes. Make them a day ahead before a dinner party or as a snack for friends.

  • 1/2 lb Lean Ground Turkey Meat
  • 1 Egg (Yes! An ACTUAL egg)
  • 1/2 Cup Plain Rolled Oats
  • 1 TBSP Fresh Basil
  • 1 1/2 TSP Mint

Cheaper than buying the store bought "low fat" packs, not mention way less calories, you will be satisfied at how these are sweet but not over powering so you can eat them plain for fancy them up with a spread or frosting.

Not only is the cornbread at a different level but it also has more complexity. A definte crowd pleaser friends and family will be begging you for more, you have been warned.

  • 1 Cup Cornmeal
  • 1 Cup Cake Flour (All Purpose can be used)
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
